Natural sites in Auvergne
Le Massif du Sancy is a vast area. To discover it, we advise you to ask at the campsite reception, at one of the Sancy tourist offices or to pick up a guide or walking map of the Sancy (on sale at the campsite, in tourist offices or bookshops).
Chaudefour Valley Nature Reserve (7 km) and Chastreix-Sancy Nature Reserve (25 km)
The Chaudefour Valley is on the way to the campsite, and we recommend the many footpaths and waterfalls in this magnificent valley. Tours for all levels.
Please note: dogs are not permitted in the nature reserve.
A must-see
Les Cols
The campsite is separated from Le Mont-Dore (15 km) by several puys, and can be reached via 2 passes:
To the left, the Croix Saint Robert pass (1451 m)
To the right, the Col de Croix Morand (1401 m)
The view from the top is magnificent. Ideal for bikers and cyclists, but also for hikers who want to cross from one pass to another.
Nearby you'll also find the Col du Guéry.

Les Sources
DID YOU KNOW?
Spring and mineral waters from the Sancy are bottled for consumption.
The Auvergne Mont Dore mountain spring water is collected directly from the source, at an altitude of 1220m.
There are many different springs in the Sancy:
Ferruginous, thermal and mineral springs...
(such as the St Anne spring in the Chaudefour valley)
